1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Redoublet ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Redoublet application (available on iOS, Android, and the Web) or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our service.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use Redoublet, in accordance with the Dutch implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Redoublet is operated from the Netherlands.

1. Inleiding & Acceptatie

Welkom bij Redoublet ("wij", "ons", "onze"). Door toegang te krijgen tot of gebruik te maken van de Redoublet-applicatie (beschikbaar op iOS, Android en het web) of gerelateerde diensten, gaat u akkoord met deze Algemene Voorwaarden. Als u niet akkoord gaat met enig onderdeel van deze voorwaarden, mag u onze dienst niet gebruiken.

U moet minimaal 16 jaar oud zijn om Redoublet te gebruiken, in overeenstemming met de Nederlandse implementatie van de Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG). Redoublet wordt beheerd vanuit Nederland.

2. Description of Service

Redoublet is a bridge card game application available on iOS, Android, and the Web. The service offers:

  • Free features: Analyse Game — scan bridge hands using your device camera and receive robot-powered analysis of the play.
  • Pro features (subscription required): Score Tracker with unlimited scoring sessions, and Play Online with daily and weekly competitions.

2. Beschrijving van de Dienst

Redoublet is een bridge-kaartspel applicatie beschikbaar op iOS, Android en het web. De dienst biedt:

  • Gratis functies: Analyse Game — scan bridgehanden met de camera van uw apparaat en ontvang robotgestuurde analyse van het spel.
  • Pro-functies (abonnement vereist): Score Tracker met onbeperkte scoresessies, en Play Online met dagelijkse en wekelijkse competities.

3. Account Registration

To use Redoublet, you must create an account. You may register using:

  • Email and password
  • Google Sign-In
  • Facebook Login

Email verification is required to activate your account. You must choose a username between 3 and 20 characters. Each person may maintain only one account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Om Redoublet te gebruiken, moet u een account aanmaken. U kunt zich registreren via:

  • E-mail en wachtwoord
  • Google-aanmelding
  • Facebook-login

E-mailverificatie is vereist om uw account te activeren. U moet een gebruikersnaam kiezen van 3 tot 20 tekens. Elke persoon mag slechts één account hebben. U bent verantwoordelijk voor het beveiligen van uw accountgegevens en voor alle activiteiten die onder uw account plaatsvinden.

4. Subscription & Payment

Redoublet offers a monthly Pro subscription. The subscription price is displayed in your App Store or Play Store and may vary by country and currency.

  • New users receive a 30-day free trial upon account creation.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Payment is processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

For Apple App Store users: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your account settings on the App Store after purchase.

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Price changes will be communicated in advance, and any change will take effect at the start of the next billing period following the notice.

4. Abonnement & Betaling

Redoublet biedt een maandelijks Pro-abonnement. De abonnementsprijs wordt weergegeven in uw App Store of Play Store en kan per land en valuta verschillen.

  • Nieuwe gebruikers ontvangen een gratis proefperiode van 30 dagen bij het aanmaken van een account.
  • Abonnementen worden automatisch verlengd aan het einde van elke factureringsperiode, tenzij ten minste 24 uur voor het einde van de huidige periode opgezegd.
  • Betaling wordt verwerkt via de Apple App Store of Google Play Store.

Voor Apple App Store-gebruikers: De betaling wordt bij bevestiging van de aankoop in rekening gebracht op uw Apple ID-account. Het abonnement wordt automatisch verlengd tenzij het ten minste 24 uur voor het einde van de huidige periode wordt opgezegd. Uw account wordt binnen 24 uur voor het einde van de huidige periode belast voor verlenging. U kunt uw abonnementen beheren en opzeggen via uw accountinstellingen in de App Store na aankoop.

Wij kunnen de abonnementsprijzen van tijd tot tijd wijzigen. Prijswijzigingen worden vooraf gecommuniceerd en gaan in bij aanvang van de volgende factureringsperiode na de kennisgeving.

5. Free Trial

All new users receive a 30-day free trial starting from the date of account creation. During the trial period you have full access to all Pro features. The free trial is available once per user. No payment information is required during the trial period.

5. Gratis Proefperiode

Alle nieuwe gebruikers ontvangen een gratis proefperiode van 30 dagen vanaf de datum van accountcreatie. Tijdens de proefperiode heeft u volledige toegang tot alle Pro-functies. De gratis proefperiode is eenmalig per gebruiker beschikbaar. Er zijn geen betalingsgegevens nodig tijdens de proefperiode.

6. User Conduct & Fair Play

When using Redoublet, you agree not to:

  • Cheat or use unfair advantages in competitions
  • Manipulate scores or game results
  • Use bots, automated tools, or scripts to interact with the service
  • Engage in abusive, harassing, or offensive behavior toward other users
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application

Violations of these rules may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

6. Gebruikersgedrag & Fair Play

Bij het gebruik van Redoublet gaat u ermee akkoord om niet:

  • Vals te spelen of oneerlijke voordelen te gebruiken in competities
  • Scores of spelresultaten te manipuleren
  • Bots, geautomatiseerde tools of scripts te gebruiken om met de dienst te communiceren
  • Beledigend, intimiderend of aanstootgevend gedrag te vertonen jegens andere gebruikers
  • Enig onderdeel van de applicatie te reverse-engineeren, decompileren of disassembleren

Overtredingen van deze regels kunnen leiden tot onmiddellijke opschorting of permanente beëindiging van uw account.

7. Camera & Image Processing

Redoublet uses your device camera to scan bridge playing cards. Images captured are processed via the Carddetection API for card recognition purposes. These images are not permanently stored on our servers. Explicit permission is required before the camera can be accessed.

Redoublet maakt gebruik van de camera van uw apparaat om bridge speelkaarten te scannen. Vastgelegde afbeeldingen worden verwerkt via de Carddetection API voor kaartherkenning. Deze afbeeldingen worden niet permanent opgeslagen op onze servers. Expliciete toestemming is vereist voordat de camera kan worden gebruikt.

8. AI & Robot Features

Redoublet includes an AI robot for game analysis and online play. The AI features are provided "as-is" and are not guaranteed to produce optimal play in all situations. Double Dummy Solver (DDS) results represent theoretical outcomes based on perfect information (all four hands visible) and may differ from practical over-the-table results.

The Double Dummy Solver used in Redoublet is based on the work of Bo Haglund, Soren Hein, et al.

8. AI- & Robotfuncties

Redoublet bevat een AI-robot voor spelanalyse en online spelen. De AI-functies worden "as-is" aangeboden en zijn niet gegarandeerd optimaal in alle situaties. Double Dummy Solver (DDS)-resultaten vertegenwoordigen theoretische uitkomsten op basis van perfecte informatie (alle vier de handen zichtbaar) en kunnen afwijken van praktische resultaten aan de speeltafel.

De Double Dummy Solver die in Redoublet wordt gebruikt, is gebaseerd op het werk van Bo Haglund, Soren Hein, et al.

9. Intellectual Property

The Redoublet service, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by Redoublet and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the service. The rules of the game of bridge themselves are not claimed as proprietary.

9. Intellectueel Eigendom

De Redoublet-dienst, inclusief ontwerp, code, grafische elementen en inhoud, is eigendom van Redoublet en wordt beschermd door intellectuele eigendomswetten. U krijgt een beperkte, niet-exclusieve, niet-overdraagbare licentie om de applicatie te gebruiken voor persoonlijke, niet-commerciële doeleinden. U mag geen enkel onderdeel van de dienst kopiëren, wijzigen, verspreiden, verkopen of in licentie geven. De regels van het kaartspel bridge zelf worden niet als eigendom geclaimd.

10. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of your game data. By using the service, you grant Redoublet a license to use your data in anonymized form for statistics and leaderboards. Group names, usernames, and game results may be visible to other users within the context of the service (e.g., competition leaderboards, group score tracking).

10. Door Gebruikers Gegenereerde Inhoud

U behoudt het eigendom van uw spelgegevens. Door de dienst te gebruiken, geeft u Redoublet een licentie om uw gegevens in geanonimiseerde vorm te gebruiken voor statistieken en klassementen. Groepsnamen, gebruikersnamen en spelresultaten kunnen zichtbaar zijn voor andere gebruikers binnen de context van de dienst (bijv. competitieklassementen, groepsscores).

11. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Redoublet uses the following third-party services: Firebase (authentication and database), RevenueCat (subscription management), Sentry (error tracking), AI API (game analysis), DDS API (double dummy analysis), and Carddetection API (card scanning). Push notifications can be managed through your device settings.

11. Privacy

Uw privacy is belangrijk voor ons. Raadpleeg ons Privacybeleid voor informatie over hoe wij uw gegevens verzamelen, gebruiken en beschermen.

Redoublet maakt gebruik van de volgende diensten van derden: Firebase (authenticatie en database), RevenueCat (abonnementsbeheer), Sentry (foutopsporing), AI API (spelanalyse), DDS API (double dummy-analyse) en Carddetection API (kaartscanning). Pushmeldingen kunnen worden beheerd via de instellingen van uw apparaat.

12. Account Termination & Deletion

You may delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion feature. Account deletion is also available via our web form. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed.

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Play Store before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

Redoublet reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service.

12. Accountbeëindiging & Verwijdering

U kunt uw account op elk moment verwijderen via de accountverwijderingsfunctie in de app. Accountverwijdering is ook beschikbaar via ons webformulier. Bij verwijdering worden al uw gegevens permanent verwijderd.

Als u een actief abonnement heeft, zeg dit dan op via de App Store of Play Store voordat u uw account verwijdert, om verdere kosten te voorkomen.

Redoublet behoudt zich het recht voor om accounts die deze Algemene Voorwaarden overtreden op te schorten of te beëindigen.

13. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Redoublet does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

  • We are not liable for the accuracy of robot or AI analysis.
  • We are not liable for outages or issues caused by third-party services.
  • Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

These limitations are subject to mandatory provisions of Dutch and European Union law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct.

13. Disclaimers & Beperking van Aansprakelijkheid

De dienst wordt aangeboden "AS IS" en "AS AVAILABLE" zonder enige garantie, expliciet of impliciet. Redoublet garandeert niet dat de dienst ononderbroken, foutloos of vrij van schadelijke componenten zal zijn.

  • Wij zijn niet aansprakelijk voor de nauwkeurigheid van robot- of AI-analyses.
  • Wij zijn niet aansprakelijk voor storingen of problemen veroorzaakt door diensten van derden.
  • Onze totale aansprakelijkheid jegens u is beperkt tot het bedrag dat u in de 12 maanden voorafgaand aan het schadeveroorzakende gebeurtenis aan ons heeft betaald.

Deze beperkingen zijn onderworpen aan dwingendrechtelijke bepalingen van Nederlands en Europees recht. Niets in deze voorwaarden beperkt de aansprakelijkheid voor grove nalatigheid of opzettelijk wangedrag.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Your mandatory consumer rights under EU law are not affected by these terms.

14. Toepasselijk Recht

Deze Algemene Voorwaarden worden beheerst door het Nederlandse recht. Geschillen die voortvloeien uit deze voorwaarden worden voorgelegd aan de bevoegde rechtbank in Nederland.

Als u een consument bent in de Europese Unie, kunt u ook gebruik maken van het Online Geschillenbeslechtingsplatform van de Europese Commissie op https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Uw dwingende consumentenrechten op grond van EU-wetgeving worden niet aangetast door deze voorwaarden.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes.

15. Wijzigingen in de Voorwaarden

Wij kunnen deze Algemene Voorwaarden van tijd tot tijd bijwerken. Wijzigingen worden gecommuniceerd via de app of per e-mail. Uw voortgezet gebruik van de dienst na inwerkingtreding van wijzigingen houdt in dat u de herziene voorwaarden accepteert. De datum "Laatst bijgewerkt" bovenaan deze pagina geeft de meest recente wijzigingen weer.
